About Oksana
Oksana Izbyanska Leavitt is a Ukrainian‑born abstract painter, artisan, and co‑founder of UAartsy. In 2020 she married John Leavitt and moved from New York to Connecticut, where together they launched UAartsy. From the beginning, Oksana has been the main creative force, shaping the brand’s artistic identity and marketplace presence.
Her artwork blends bold acrylic abstracts, dynamic brushwork, and vibrant palettes. She has developed series of angel wings, symbolic cityscapes, and expressive animal figures. Alongside her canvases, Oksana creates handcrafted baskets and Petrykivka‑styled ornaments. These works extend her vision into decorative and cultural art forms that connect tradition with modern expression.
Over the past five years, she has exhibited at Ukrainian festivals in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Her tents at these festivals showcase both her fine art and artisan crafts. In 2019, she received recognition as a “Rising Artist” at Artexpo New York.
Oksana is also a devoted mother of two children, Jack and Kalyna. Her family life deeply influences her approach to art — weaving together Ukrainian pride, resilience, and joy into UAartsy.
